According to reports from WPKN 89.5 FM: The Mystic Bowie Bob Marley Birthday Bash was an amazing reggae event pulled off with help of WPKN'ers iMessiah and Ebong Udoma and Route 22 in Stamford, CT.
A full house pulsated to the rhythms of reggae with a stellar line-up of national and international talent. Hosted by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club), Mystic Bowie and his band were joined by guests from the Fresh Band, Burning Spear, I Anbassa, Mutti Lewis and other special guests.
WPKN 89.5 FM in Bridgeport, CT and 88.7 FM in Montauk carried it live on the radio and on the internet. This concert was the finale of our 2-DAY BOB MARLEY Fundraiser for listener-supported, non-profit WPKN radio.
